Another Ranked Server Question

Hello, I just bought BF2 acouple days ago, but whenever I try to play a Rank server it says I have a mod or something, and I need to "revert to the original BF2 copy"?

I've emailed EA BF2 HQ, but does anyone know whats up with this, I have reinstalled it two or three times, and I haven't installed or downloaded any mods? Do patches count as mods?

You can't make a ranked server, you need some kind of license from EA i think.

are you talking about setting up a server, or just playing on one online?

Yeah I wasn't trying to make one, I was trying to get on one.....but its fine I fixed it.

Can you please tell me how you fixed it? I've been having that problem too and I'm kind of getting ****ed off.
