Question about texture colour

OK, so i go and select my layer select the detail texture, colour texture,colour,material and leave everything alse default.

I choose:

DetailTexture-detail_cobble2
ColourTexture-sand_detailed
Colour-Orange
Material-Gravel

i want it to come out orange but instead i get this brownish colour that has no resemblence to orange anyone help?

It is because of the texture color, dont select anything on that and it will come up as the color you want.
