Damage from guns to vehicules

HI all there,

I m pretty noob to this game

I've just unlocked a the automatic shootgun of the reparer unit. DAO 34 or smtg.

As I've been looking to find how much damage it makes to a jeep , I've find out that it does quite no damages while the handgun was more effective.


Do u find that logical?

None. Shotguns do no damage to vehicles. It is logical, pellets from a shotgun lose a lot of velocity pretty fast and will barely make a mark at anything other than flesh. Purely people-killers.

So I was at school and a group brought in an EA rep to guestspeak. He asked us to name entertainment brands...I said Universal. He crapped on my suggestion, then went on to speak of how EA doesn't develop any games; thus making my comparison more valid. If these are the type flamers EA hires then GL getting them to fix anything in BF2 (no ****). Funboy went on to say that he is trying to promote a strategy similar to "Intel inside" for EA...

Oh yeah - he said the average age of gamers is 28?!?! I assume there is some poll thread about ages...

I know for a fact that the jackhammer does some damage. If a chopper is smoking already, blast it with the jackhammer. I got kills that way.

Yep, the hit indicator lights up whenever I'm firing my shotgun at choppers. Dunno about other vehicles though..

As support, shooting @ a chopper lights up for me too...never had anything happen as a result tho...except being mowed down

That's actually correct, I've talked to many in the industry who've quoted those statistics, and they are meant to be from a very reliable source.

Can't see why it's so hard to believe? Think about it, all those teenager(Atrai/Commodore64) gamers from the mid 80's would be around that age now. I'd also say there's a good chance that most game developers play games as well, and I'm pretty sure most of them would be WELL past their teens and nearing their 30's.

What you also have to take into account is that the Sims is a very popular game, and has drawn alot of previously none gamer people(e.g. females and the middle-aged) into the gamer bracket.

So the perception that all gamers are pimple clad 14 year olds is quite far from the truth.

For those who don t believe me, just try the test to fire 7 MK3A1's bullets on an arab chopper, you will see all squares on his life. Then u take the arab gun and fire all 15 bullets, 2 squares are gone...

I've actually found that most shots I take at a vehicle reflect right off. Not too sure about jeeps, but I've seen it happen against tanks and APCs. Try the support class and fire full auto at an oncoming tank. Most of your shots will boune off and hit the Spec Ops running towards the tank, while the tank takes minimal damage.

I think I actually have a team kill or two that I got when I first figured that out.

I don't waste my fire on vecs unless I'm AT (duh) or support. The PK is absolutely evil to helos. If you dont get lit up to get your attention, your rapidly depleting health bar probably will.
