BF2 wont start up at all

i just went and bought an original copy of bf2 and i installed it and installed new drivers and stuff, then i click play and it goes to like a black screen and sorta flashes for a sec then goes back to windows and doesnt even start up.

somone please help i just wanna play

Yes the Gforce 4 series is not supported. You NEED a better video card. A better Processor and more ram would help too. Here is a cheap video card, the nVidia FX5500 256MB. Its an old card but you can play with it. Simply your computer cannot play this game. I'm very sorry to have to tell you that.

It says that the FX5200 and FX5500 arent supported but they are. I play on a FX5500 and my bro on a FX5200 so trust me they work.

yeah sorry, next time download the demo first. see I had the same problem as you so I bought more ram and a new mobo/cpu. If you do get a new computer are you going to buy or build?

from what you described it sounds like to me you are using a graphics card that isnt supported by the game. Probably going to have to upgrade

Run EAsy Info (insert the BF2 Install disc), or run Dxdiag (Start > Run > type "dxdiag")

EAsy Info would be the better choice. Copy and paste the results here.
