Not at the current time, no. In fact, you can't change your name--you need to create a new account name to have a different name. With that comes new stats.

Its lame and a total oversight on EA/Dice. Account login name should not be your in game name...

Not only does it make account hackers job easier... it is just an insult to gamers who may switch clans at some point.

True. I find it very annoying because if you want to join or leave a clan you have to change your name.

But EA and DICE did say that you might be able to change your name in the future.

I know there is a way to change on single player, mine was stuck on default player and i opened up the console window (`) i often open it on accident taking out my knife. And you type:

localProfile.setNick [nickhere]

Not sure if it works online, it could possibly, but if it does its probably disabled or you will be banned or something.

Same goes for profile name

localProfile.setName [namehere]

I know at least one works offline.

Who knows.

This was definitely a HUGE oversight by EA. This discourages clan play, which in turn discourages clans form renting ranked servers.

AHEM. People needs to be corrected I guess. If log in at gamespy.com (don't ask me where, I had a direct-link) you're supposed to be able to change your nick (the option exists). I haven't tried it since I'm happy with mine.

Indeed, you can change your nick but not with your old stats. =)
Atleast there wont be so much clanhopping in bf2, thats something.

I heard the gamespy "name change" only changes your name offline, for stat sigs and such.
