I've tried being Engineer and laying mines, being Special Foces and using C4 on Armored Vehicles, and Sniper laying traps with claymores, but I just can't manage to get 13 kills with any of them. Anyone have any advice on how to get the Basic Explosives Ordinance Badge?

Easy. A few ways.
1. Be SF on Karkand, lay C4s on a strategic spot such as a spawn (the second closest MEC CP to the American spawn works well. Hide on top of the tall building and wait for the Americans to take the spawn, then BOOM). Doing that twice basically gets you the badge.
2. Load a humvee (or another vehicle) with C4s. Drive it into the enemy's concentrated troops. Get out, boom. It kills you, but also kills other guys.
3. My favorite: My bro and I each got on our own guys. We have computers next to eachother. I loaded up C4s in a humvee, and I told him to start driving. He'd go find the enemy, yell "NOW!" and I'd blow him up. Yeah I got a TK every time, but he found a ton of troops and it eliminated that precious second of getting out of the car and then blowing up the C4s. -
c-4 doesnt have to be used on just armor :evil: set some on frequently used paths where infrantry crosses and wait for some passing sqauds, its rather fun seeing them fly in the air, be a ninja, or be a towelhead : ) gihad jeeps work if you desperate.Comment

Karkand is the obvious map choice, don't bother "placing them at strategic positions", just toss them over the walls and fences and detonate.Comment

play strike at karkans sniper and just bunny hump to enemy and trow claymore just try it again i get the badge the first time i tryed so its possible just be lucky that there are more people aroundComment

Yo I just got it on Strike at Karkand on the MEC Team as Special Forces. What I did was toss all 5 on an armored truck and ram into people/humves/tanks and jumped out boom!!!
I got a really bad teamwork score, but 13 kills with C4!!!Comment

i easily got mine on karkand, but i was a sniper, just run around and put claymores in strategic spots (ex: right at the beginning of the round run to the front and place them at the entrance that can be blown away, another good place is the alley spawn (between 2nd to last and alley, if that makes sense)) just use your brain to figure out where some good bottlenecks are, and when enemys might just run through, set it and forget it. Even if you TK, that still counts as a kill i believe.Comment
