Friendly soldiers with red names?

I have tried to do a search for this, but nothing came up. Last night and this morning while playing, I have killed 4 teammates. They all had red names above their heads. At first I thought I was just not paying attention, until the last 2, when I actually snuck up on the guy with a knife, and the name was red the whole time. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Thank you for the imput.

Lots of people have had it happen to them. I know I've had it a hew times. Not much you can do about it. Knowing the team uniforms helps avoid TKs though.

yes kill them, it will say you teamkilled but you wont get a negative score, you will just get points for a normal kill, look at the score boared when it happens you will see that they are indeed on the other team

Once, I got a Red Name AND an Enemy Skin bug in one. I was USMC, looked at a MEC soldier, saw a red tag, and pwned him. Then I saw "You were punished for a Team Kill" I opened up the scoreboard, and there he was, on MY TEAM!!

100% CORRECT!! I thought I was the only one who realized this.

Yup. It's been happening for the past few months. Since the game has been realised. It's a bug that's the most pain in the ass.

yup i have had enemys with blue tags and frendlys with red tags and the skins bug also

Looks like he is on my team. (MEC) But wait.. he has a red nametag..





.. oh what's this, he has a MEC uniform but he's not on my team!?! and I get negative points for killing him? For the 10,000th time. There is a supposed nametag bug and then there is a HACK. When I confronted this guy he left the server.

i think its a little ridiculous to say knowing the team uni's if your sniping you cant tell the difference you just see the red tag pop up....its happened to all of us no biggie...its kinda fun actually to see them get so pissed...but they actually see you as red also
