I have bought the game, 3 questions 1 comment.

Great game! To my greatest amazement, the game's performance is okay. My system is a low end AMD AthlonXP 2200+, GeForce FX-5900XT and 768MB RAM. I thought the game would run slow and laggy. Fortunately, I am able to obtain 30+ frame rates.

But I have 3 questions:
1) Anyone still playing BF 1942 now?
2) How do I use the Artillery, I hit "E" but it won't let me use it?
3) I saw another footage of BF2 in the retail shop, but it is not the one I get from Intro. Would you tell me where I can download it?

I have found BF2 plays all the way on land combat. There are, regretably no naval vehicles. To be quite honest, I used to see over thousands of BF1942 servers using All-Seeing-Eye. But at this moment, I can only see 109 servers! It is really a steep decline. Still, I miss the naval aspect of BF1942, and that is the only and the last reason why I still keep it on my hard disk.

1, Lots of people still playing BF1942, obviously not as many as it's glory days but still a good number.

2, You have to be the Commander to use the artillery. It's not a case of walking up to it and pressing "E" like you would for stingers etc...

3, There's lots of footage of BF2 out there. Without knowing what clip you saw then we cannot obviously tell you where to download it.

lol, funny. You can only use arty when playing as the commander. Press caps lock, move your mouse over the area of the map you want to attack, press ur right mouse button and select the artillery option.

There are tons of movies. Just go to the official site or one of the big download sites to get em.

It's idd too bad that the only naval vehicles are the little speedboats. On the other hand, BF2 is more infantry focused than BF1942, so it's a logical they left it out.

You might have seen a trailer for Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, which is for PS2 and Xbox, coming this month.

It looks like the same game but the gfx are a bit tweeked out for consoles and they've added console only features to it, that they do plan on releasing to us pc gamers in their lovely upcoming expansion /sigh

In all honesty, I am still playing BF1942 and intend to keep it. The reason I am playing it is because as I said the naval combat, specially the submarine. I have never masterminded the submarines. Perhaps, the other probable reason I am still playing around with it is the African maps.

Given the comparatively less performing graphics engine to the BF2's, BF1942 graphics runs pretty smoothly as far as desert maps go. Then, I wonder, if only there would be more maps like one of those in BF-1942 EA/DICE are offering us in the forthcoming expansion.

I have another question abour in-game music. See, I have this theme from the quite famous movie "The Rock", and I find it suits the game quite well specially when lots of actions are goin on. Where do I put it in?

Another question about VoIP. Is it normal, that whatever I speak in to the Mic, I won't hear my own voice? Just want to make sure that my voice reaches the other ends.

Yeah, a little green speaker should pop-up on the right hand side of your screen. It's red when your talking too loud, though.

You use the artillery by becoming commander than going to the command console for all the stuff you can call in as commander. You do this by double right clicking on the squad map.

sometimes even tho you see the green icon when pushing ur mic button, some servers dont have VOIP enabled as it lags some servers. you're better off asking first if its enabled b4 u realized youve been talking to yourself for the better part of an hour. plus you gotta join a squad :X
