Unable to move properly...

For some reason, when I play single player or create a local server when I move it will 'stick' for about 2 seconds, and I can not press any keys to gain back control..until it just lets me control it again..it happens a few times a minute, and my sound will go out for about 5 seconds, and come back, and go out etc. Multiplayer works fine, I tryed manually reinstalling, cleaning drivers and reinstalling them, trying different in game settings and I keep getting this problem...solution?

Multiplayer works fine? I"m thinking you CPU isn't up to the task.

I think your P4 just isnt cutting it...

CPU and RAM m8, ur P4 1.6 ghz for BF2 sucks. and u should have like 1gb on that PC

I realize the setup is ****. but when im playing, the actual game does not pause, infact it's very smooth, it's just my keyboard when I move, alot of the time it sticks, as if the key is being pressed continously, although it isn't. And the sound problem I mentioned actually never happened before until now for some mysterious reason=\..I also figured out it only sticks while i'm on foot, but in a vehicle it is fine. Now you say my CPU for bf2 sucks, well you're right it does, single player I understand with all the AI ..but a local game...with just myself in the map? I mean how hard can that possibly be on my computer when im running around fine on a 64 player map online with, well 64 people! ..=\

Sometimes i have the same prob and i have a gig of RAM and an AMD 3200+

And it's a pain in the ass....=\..I kciked my computer, but it still works=)
