I thought I heard him say "Eject". Did he?

What is this all about, too?
(looking forward to the 1500 emails that tell me exactly what type, model, year, and probably how much fuel was still in the tank cause God knows there is no chance in hell this can any longer be an F-14)

Assuming thie video is for real, I fail to see the humor in a bird strike that causes 2 men to eject with probable injuries, along with the loss of a multi-milloin dollar war plane.

You can hear the pilot call out an engine restart attempt, but its not clear how a single bird strike could flame out both of the F-14 engines.

Bird strikes are all too common and are not the least bit "funny". At Reese AFB, back in the '70s I had the misfortune to witness two bird strike incidents:
                  1. T-38 ingested several ducks on take off - flamed out both engines - student and IP both ejected with minimal injury.
                  2. T-37, with two senior IP's aboard, struck by a sand hill crane at 400 knots - left seat pilot killed instantly - co-pilot seriously injured, but he did somehow manage to land the aircraft safely.

Probably the same people that consider Fun is playing a game where the main idea is to hunt down and kill thier fellow man :-)

                      Crazy..

The thread title is true.. I have better luck hitting air targets with small arms fire than the worthless AA.

for so many millions of dollars each you would think they could get a less annoying computer voice.

you really dont see it? had your sense of humor surgically removed because it got in the way of being all knowing?

its funny because a bird downed a jet when AA in this game cant do it.
                        its not exactly complicated.

**** birds. we try to be like them, and instead of being flattered they take down our multi million dollar fighter aircraft.

maybe it will be replaced by an f22

Jesus... I mean, cmon' man. Just. Damn... I don't even know what to say to this.

Is your life 100% serious all the time? Did you laugh as a child? I understand the dangerous situation of the entire event, but, ...never mind. I'm not even gunna' try to explain to humor to you (or lack of a sense of it).

Anyways, good point made by the thread starter. Maybe they should outfit us with pelicans instead of Stingers.

LOL, I don't think the bird enjoyed it anymore than the jet.
