That PC should be able to run BF2, HL2, AND FarCry all at the max settings easily.

YOur computer sucks @**... you might be able to play pong on low settings...

      LOL... Just kidding :)

You should be fine for bf2 and half life 2 high settings 4X AA.

Now that I looked even closer, I think you're right... I think having just one gig of ram is what's going to stop that, because for max settings you'd probably need 2 Gigs....

As for the video card, though, then yes... it is definetely powerful enough to run BF2 at max settings.

The texture detail is what hurts performance most... and it relies on RAM ALOT.

Yeah, that's what I thought... I didn't realize it was only 1 GB ram... my bad.

Well, by getting an ATI card, you're giving up an approximate 13% performance increase. Usually matching chipsets with video card makers is a good idea. Thus Nforce with a 6xxx card, or an Xpress with X8xxx series card.

I'm extremely happy with my computer, plays maxed out settings 1280x1024 smooth as butter with 50+ fps...haven't even had a lag studder. It hasn't dropped below 30 even in artillery strikes.
