who wins in a tie?

ive played numerous times where ive tied someone else for gold/silver or bronze, but it always seems that the higher award goes to the other guy and not to me. when there is a tie score at the end of the match, how does the game decide who is ranked better?

i think it goes on who has the better k/d ration

say you have

30 points 0 team 15 kill 5deaths

and he has

30points 0 team 15 kills 4 deaths


he wins
