Most likely. These games, just like BF2, need plenty of available system RAM.
I have gotten the occaisional lock up in the demo buts I think its do to the onboard sound card that I am using. And...its a demo, so it will have some issues.

How can some of you not run this game? i can run this game on intel family chipset (onboard) and 512 ram...

The graphics are great, i run on medium. The sounds are great, everything sound realistic. The slomo makes the game really good, i love seeing all the bullets flying by and gernaides blasting air around it and shrapnel and dirt. The enemies are VERY SMART. In one fight some guy through down some shelves for cover, and then started to shoot at me.

I am deffinanlty buying the full retail game.

here's what my game looked like--

yes i know, not the best, but the gameplay is still great. And the sound.

I would post the full thing but it would make the forums go whack.

alecs, how are you running BF2?

Also, incase that is true that screenshot is 640x480.
Most people don't play at that res.

I love the demo its certainly a resfreshing change to be as vunerable as your enemies. its not that scary but does have a silent hill feel to it which is nicely done. i just hope that thats only part of its gameplay and not the only thing it relies on.

only a couple of little gripes though... the torch doesnt light up areas sometimes i mean you can go to a dark corner and pop the torch on and it doesn't get any brighter.. and the look of your arms and gun is a little to far away, if you know what i mean they look too small and far away to be your own arms.

I can play it evenything maxxed out and it looks absolutely lovely.

                                P4 3.2
                                ATI X800XT PE
                                2 Gig corsair
                                2x200 SATA Raid 0
                                Audigy 2 ZS
                                5.1 sound

definatly going to get it when it comes out.
