whenever i go into the game it says that i can upgrade to the minimum graphics or whatever if i go back to the splash screen, but the problem is i dont no how to get back to the spash screen. Anyone have any advise?

Sounds like your graphics card doesn't meet the minimum requirements. This game is a beast to run so you need what most people would consider very recently released video cards to run this game.
Run EAsyInfo (located in your BF2 directory) and then post what you get here. -
