Noob MOD help

This is a real nooB MOD question.. If I download a mod can I...

1. Still play the ranked servers?? or does it alter my original BF2?

2. can I have more than one MOD at a time??

3. How do I play a game with the MOD once i have it?

1. No, unranked servers only.

2. Installed yes, running no.

3. Either create a shortcut or activate the mod using the Community button inside BF2.

does the server have to use the mod too?

are there lots of servers/people using mods yet?

which mods would you recommend?

Yes the server needs the same content (mod) as you. Or else you can't join. If you don't have the same mod, you will not be able to enter the server.

You can use ASE (All Seeing Eye) for seeing which mods are being used, which at the moment are very few.
