Server screwed?!

Hey folks.

Is it me or is the server screwed again? Im asking cause my PC had a freak out attack earlier so I had to reinstall my blessed windows *Growl*

Now I have BF2 on another partition so I havent reinstalled it, clearly that screwed something up, so before I take on the long tedius reinstall i just wondered, is the server screwed again cause i only get 3 servers showing up in the multiplay tab :/

I logged into today only to find 32 servers on my list,....????

I have acouple filters on (5) and I usally get around 500 or more.

I dont understand when you say IS THE SERVER SCEWED AGAIN??

No way you gonna get a virus from playing on servers
you can get attack but no virus

you should delete your config files ( i dont remember the name... im at work ) before trying to reinstall...

try reapplying the 1.02 patch too


and do you a favor... GHOST YOUR WINDOWS once all updates and SP are installed

I logged on an hour ago and only 2 servers showed up. Luckly, I save IP addresses.

I got the ol' stat bug. Took screeny like 10 min. ago.

When I say server i assume that we all connect to one big main server that keeps tally of whos logged in and what servers are availible ( well a server cluster or whatever ) sitting at EA.

You know the one where it says " Connecting to Account"

it may be your config file

try creating a new user (it create a new config file for this user (with for exemple video config, control config... and lots more)

if you can see los of server once connected with that new account, it meens that your main account config files are corrupt... delete them and try again (of course youll have to reconfigure all your settings)

could be config file but sometimes the browser messes up cause it has happend to me only a few servers showed up
