Question about black hawk...

Hey all...

If i am in a black hawk, and lets say the pilot gets killed...
can i just hit F1 and fly ?

I know there are some sniper guns that can shoot through the glass of the black hawk and so maybe a pilot gets shot and killed... Does the entire thing crash down ?

I would like to jump into the seat and fly if possible ...

yes you can as soon as the pilot seat is empty for whatever reason you can jump in and rescue the BH.

I believe so, yes. I haven't switched to the pilot seat when he's been killed but I have switched when the pilot clearly just took the helo to get somewhere quickly and bails.

you can move to any empty seat, just by hitting the corresponding F key.

yes, and just for kicks, fly the BH without any other passenger and when you get near an enemy base, hover in the middle of it and immediately start hitting f2 and f3 to switch to the two gunner positions and fire away. don't worry, your chopper won't crash. it'll just go in a circle for minutes. just make sure the visual-indicator-thing is in the middle and you ARE hovering. also, play as an engineer if you're going to try this and drop mines everywhere. if you take multiple hits. fly away from the base, hit f4 and repair your chopper. fly to the middle again and kill them all yourself!

You're also able to jump into the seat because ignorant snipers will take a chopper just to fly high and bail down to a concealed position..thus leaving anyone else in the chopper to die or bail. It's rude and ignorant - you know who you are.

did it once with a full BH, owned.. nobody jumped to F1 :p

Yes, and I have successfully been 'in the red' from damage, switched to the back seat, wrenched (with no pilot) and got back in the pilot seat, regained control and went about my BH whoring way. :laugh:

As soon as the seat is empty than you can take over the heli.

you know, i never thought of switching to the gunner seats and letting the blackhawk spin...pretty smart

I've taken out a bh pilot (sweetest kill I'll ever make), and either nobody noticed or got in the pilot seat because it crashed about 10 sec after I hit the pilot.
