    Team vehicle damage

I was in an IGLA today, fired a missle at an enemy chopper, and the missle did its usual thing and hit a friendly. Team vehicle damage popped up as it does, so I check my score to see how it affects me. It takes -1 from your teamwork score.

Anyway I check again a minute later and it has taken another 4 points from me! (in the meanwhile I haven't fired a single bullet). I was wondering, does the game take off extra points if you don't say sorry?

You will probably find whatever you hit crashed and as you were the last to damage it you got the full TK score.

This last to damage score thing is actually pretty common. If you ever see an enemy chopper about to crash see if you can land a shot on it because it if you do you will get credited with the kills when he crash's regardless of it actually being pilot error. I have got credited with a Blackhawk kill before after only hitting it with one shot from a shotgun and then he crashed. I was most happy

team vehicle damage is stupid and needs changing. Sometimes you can get 2x team vehicle damage followed by a TK just for destroying one friendly vehicle. If you TK the vehicle you should not get damage points against you as well. Another anoying thing can happen if you are in an APC in a narrow space and someone in a jeep tries to squeeze past giving you 2x TVD.

          I hate TeamVehicl damage
if you hit them accidently they should have choice of either to forgive you or not

I don't think I could disagree more with what you've said. I think that whenever you do damage to a friendly, be it a person or vehicle, you should have points automatically deducted. If you do damage to a friendly, you have compromised that friendly's ability to effectively do battle and help to win the round.

If you take an APC down to half damage (you have to take away 50% of it's damage rating to lose points) that APC now needs to find an engy and take time out of the battle in order to be repaired. If it can't do this and happens upon an enemy vehicle, it will automatically be at a severe disadvantage when engaging that vehicle. The auto-points deduction works to ensure that players are more careful.

Also, I NEVER punish except in the event of a clearly intentional TK. But, if I knew that players were getting away scot-free for friendly fire damage, I might be tempted to start punishing, just to teach people to be more careful. I suspect that a good amount of players who don't punish for accidental TKs might adopt the same attitude.

I really don't know. I think the game continues to take off the additional points if you don't kill somebody that's an enemy.
