The real-life minimum specs for this game is:

AMD <1.8GHZ CPU or P4 @ 2.8 Ghz>
1.5 GB ram (1GB is NOT ENOUGH at any "high" settings in the game)
Video card ATI=X800 or better, Nvidia=6800nu or better

Combo of anything above or better will play reasonably well. Anything less than this and you will see stutter/gameplay issues unless you run very low res like 800 X 600.
Yes, you CAN play the game at such reduced levels and everything set to low q, but why would you?

The minimum specs are not for you to play on high..they're for you to play on low.

If someone has lower specs than what you posted, they can still play the game. It will just load slower for them and won't look as good.

it takes several minutes for me too and I have 3,2Ghz P4 and 1GB of ram. so it's all in the mix of what makes it load faster. ram is the main prob here I guess

its based on the processor. cause it has to process all that data. the faster ur CPU is the faster it loads.

Not true. My friend has an overclocked AMD 64bit cpu, running on Windows XP 64, 1G of corsair with samsung chips, and a 6800GT. But, hes running a single 7,200rpm IDE HDD. He loads maps slower than my AMD XP 3000, 1.5G corsair, and 9800pro 128MB. Although, I have 2 10,000rpm raptors in RAID 0. I load about 10 seconds quicker than he does. It has even manifested into an ongoing joke on TS about my poopy pc loading up maps quicker than his not-so-poopy pc, followed by him cussing at me. :rofl: Oh yeah, I'm usually first to load in most servers that I play in. Comes in handy for my chopper whoring arse.

Fast hard drives are your answer.

You definately need to look at your CPU and RAM. Most of the time its the RAM to help you load up quicker. I use to play on an older 2.8 intel with 256mb ram on BF:V. When I got 512mb the map load times sped up alot.

Just upgraded to well.. alot.. lets just say that.
