Make sure your windows username only has english latin letters. No special letters. Thats what was bugging me.

You need to have more than 2Gb free space on your hard disc drive to be able to install the patches.

Could also try emptying your temp folder then retry the patch
i.e C:\documents & settings\george\local settings\temp

Ah the directory it showed me doesn't exist.

I doubt that will do much, but if you still want to you have to go to folder options and select "show hidden folders".
