I know how many of you are disappointed in the sniper class in BF2. I am pretty upset about how inaccurate the rifles are but I've found a new love... sniper Pistols! Prior to this discovery I would camp about 200ms from an enemy base and pick off a few stragglers here or there, but I've found a new tactic. Now when I play Strike or Karkand or Shargi Peninsula I'll run into the heat of battle armed w/ nothing but a sniper pistol and a few claymores. I've found that the pistol is pretty damn accurate and can take out an enemy in 3-5 hits... Anyway, anyone else that has found the love of the sniper pistol?

the pistol the sniper uses is the same as the spec-ops one. so if u really like it that much, just play as spec-ops, and u get 5 packs of C4 to play with, too. consider it a bonus of sorts. -

I might do this to get my basic sniper badge, the only one I'm missing... I just can't bring myself to actually seriously play a sniper.

The pistols are pretty weak, but use that to your advantage... Most of the time I'll be running up to an enemy w/ the pistol and I can just see them thinking (What the Fvuck?), by the time we've already gotten into a bunny hop war I've already won!Originally posted by Wranger4400Comment

snipers are fine imo, aim for the feet at long distances and if you are aiming from ontop of a large building.

actually yes! I was on top of the crane on shariq pennisnsula, I was medic, so I was sniping with my LA85A1, i got 2 kills, after all of that ammo, so i dont want to go down, so i take out my pistol-- 3 kills in 1 min.!!!!!! I couldent bealeve it it was totaly insaneComment

The Rifles are fine the way they are. A body shot takes away about 80% of your health already and headshot kills you in 1 hit(DUH) If you cant wait for the guy to stand still to kill him than your not using the rifle the right way. even if you hit some1 in the chest the chances are your gonna kill him cuz he's already wounded, if not... you willl get a kill bonus.
The only problem I think is that the M95 should be replaced with a diffrent gun such as the sr-25 so people dont expect so much from it.Comment

Never really done sniper pistoling but I used to 007 it with the medic one. It's alright as long as you can pump the bullets into someone. But sometimes it seems extremely weak. Then sometimes it seems decent.
