    What Would Gameplay Be Like?

I'm sorry to ask such a nooby question, but I'm debating whether or not to spend $100 on 512 MB of RAM, were it necessary. So my question is, will my computer be able to play BF2?

    Here are my specs:

    GeForce FX 5200
    AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3400+
2.4 GHz 512 MB of RAM

Thank you in advance for any help.

You have a good setup there. Another 512MB of RAM will help you a lot especially on loading times, and maybe a better video card.

Yep, if you can afford it you'll be happy with your purchase....quicker load times, higher settings....it's all good......

        Speaking of vid cards...I also have a 5200. Should I go with a 6800GT?

So if I have settings fairly low, I can scrape by?

I don't personally want to spend $100 if I don't have to until I receive my next pay cheque, so if I can scrape by, then that'll be good enough for now, right?

That's okay, it looks like a brilliant game so I don't mind waiting a few weeks for my cheque as long as I can play with my setup as it is.

                    Hey brother.

                    I run 1.8GHz AMD Athlon 2500+, 256MB RAM, and an FX5200.

Load times are slow, I get stutters, but overall I can play. I'm going to upgrade to 1GB RAM before I do anything else however.

Good to see another low-end user. :)

a gig of ram is alwase good. I run on an nvidia geforce fx5200 with a gig.

All setting on medium. And load times are about 2 minutes
