BF2 singleplayer weapons unlock not working

Hey guys i downloaded the weapons unlocker and it doesnt seem to be working here is where im installing it too C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\python\bf2\stats\unlocks.py and nothing happens any suggestions i really want to get this to work so know which gun to pick for my next rank which will unlock my second gun. also it doesnt give me any errors it just says DONE! when the patch is done patching but nothing

i read on here somewhere that you can't unlock the weapons in SP in the 1.02 patch.
