Can more than one person play BF2 from the same disks?

Hi, My roomate wants to try out BF2. If he installs my disks using my KEY will he also have to sign on to my account to play the game. Obviously we wouldn't be able to play at the same time since you need the disk. I guess what im asking is can you only have 1 account per KEY, meaning I would have to let my roomate have my username and PW?

There is nothing wrong with doing this right? I mean I can let someone borrow an Xbox game or a DVD for that matter, I should be able to loan someone BF2 right?

You can have as many accounts as you care to. The key isn't related to your BF2 account.

I have 8 accounts on one computer
and in fact, you can actually log onto ANY computer that has BF2 installed, and 'fetch' your account from the BF2 gameservers - under the Login, then manage accounts splash pages

you need the exact username and password

I'm pretty sure you would have to have a disk in each computer, you wouldn't be able to play online with 2 different accounts at the same time without each having your own copy of the game.

Yes, the CD key is independent on the online accounts you have created. It is stored on the local machine in the Windoze registry. This means, as long as you are using a computer with a valid CD key, you can use any online account to play on that computer (As TopGunGreg points out).

As for using the same CD key on multiple computers, or using CD images/emulation software, these forums probably aren't the place for discussing that. Get your mate to buy another copy of BF2, you'll need it eventually, and you'll save money in the long run from the many missed meal breaks that will surely occur!

And be wary that the 1.03 patch MAY possibly fix this like steam does with cd key/accounts.........
