Thx for your work on the guide. I have done well in '42 with the planes. These jets are a bit harder for me to wrap my head around. This will help.

Got a quick question on the guide...you alluded to messing with throttle keys...did you wind up rebinding them to something else ? I have a problem that when I use the s key, it seems to me to hardly do anything....

        Kronos,

I bind my throttle to my throttle control on my joystick, and bind afterburners to a button on my stick. Which part are you asking about, I'm not sure I'm getting the question.

Was just seeing if you had bound your keys to some joystick button...which from your answer I determined you indeed were :)

TY, will try that...perhaps that is why the jet has been so unresponsive...been wondering how I keep getting out-turned...think it has more to do with me trying to use both the keyboard and the joystick rather than putting it all on the joystick.

Yup, got the same stick & used to have the same problems. The driver for the stick doesn't seem to initialise properly & sets either YAW or THROTTLE incorrectly. Before you launch BF2, goto ControlPanel->GameControllers & select your stick. Now move THROTTLE, RUDDER & STICK to all limits of movement until the control panel shows all axis contered. The launch BF2 & it should perform OK.

Here's another great BF Chopper tutorial: http://www.planetbattlefield.com/bf1.../cs_manual.htm . It was written in respects to the previous Battlefield games, however much of it is very much applicable to BF2.

I have a gameport that has a usb connector on it and it works fine.

I concur about having a stick. I fly WAY better with KB & M then I EVER will with a stick.
