Downgrade part 2
Ok this is part 2, part 1 was about the medic unlock. This is the PKM, I have been playing Support a lot and thin the Mec is easily the strongest support. The China and US support guns aren't as good to me. Now i was wondering when i unlock my next weapon is the PKM even stronger than mec or do they just pick it so whoever they play as they have a strong support gun. I have read that its like 2 hit kill but its also said to be in accurate. What is it like is it an upgrade or a down grade. Part 3 weapon suggestions next please. THANKS!

I play support quite a bit and used my first unlock to get the PKM. Personally, I think it's a great weapon, as long as you use it smartly. Don't try to shoot down-range with it. Usually 2 shots will take down the enemy. I have been on top of the tall building in Karkand and shot at people from up there with it and been pretty successful (just make sure you always shoot in the prone-position). All-in-all, I would get it. -
I have heard from a lot of people that the PKM is a better support weapon. I actually managed to nick one from a dead guy the other night and used it for a little while....was great!Comment

i think its one of the unlocks that has the greatest improvment over the stock support guns. it gets a CONSIDERABLE gain in accuracy over all the stock ones..however it does lose some ROF, but if your accurate it wont matter...it adds some range to the gun while keeping the close combat ability.Comment

bang for the buck, the PKM is the best upgrade if you play support at all. Period. it's a superior weapon. you have to learn to use it, as it's different that any support weapon available to any nation in game.
trust me. PKM.

Here are the hit/damage stats for the support guns fellas. as you can see, well, the numbers speak for themselves. :)
M249 SAW ---> 25
RPK-74 ------> 35
Type.95 -----> 25
PKM ---------> 45
Thus, as a USMC or PLA support guy, thats a +20 in stopping power. So, for the USMC or the PLA, that is the biggest increase in stopping power you can get with a weapon upgrade (MEC and PLA get better with snipe, but that's cause their snipe ordinace blows).
The extra ROF with the M249 is almost completely offset by it's inaccurracy (even when prone and in short bursts) and it's BB-gun like hit strength.
