Configuring BF2:// protocol
I have created a tool and installer for setting up and using the bf2:// protocol on Windows.

The BF2 Protocol Handler enables you to connect to a BF2 server by clicking on a hyperlink in the form of bf2://<server IP>:<server port> as is used by http://www.game-monitor.com. You will need BF2 installed and patched to at least 1.0.2 for this to work. The installer will automatically detect where BF2 is installed and install to the same directory. BF2PROTOCOL.EXE MUST BE IN THE SAME DIRECTORY AS BF2.EXE. IF YOU REINSTALL BF2 TO A DIFFERENT DIRECTORY YOU WILL NEED TO UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL BF2 PROTOCOL AS WELL.
The first time BF2 Protocol is run it will ask for you for your BF2 launch parameters. These are in the form of +<parameter1> <value1> +<parameter2> <value2> etc. The list of possible parameters can be found at http://www.tweakguides.com/BF2_7.html
NOTE: DO NOT SET +joinserver or +port, they are set by BF2Protocol at run time.
If you wish to reconfigure your parameters, simply run BF2Protocol.exe without any parameters.
