List of Unreliable Ranked Servers

I don't get a chance to play BF2 everday, or even every other day. I don't know how you guys feel, but when I play, I play only on ranked servers because I need it to count. I expect it to count, and to be honest I've been let down way too much, and that is unacceptable to me. Since I started playing BF2, a significant portion of my score and awards haven't "arrived." If you don't read me loud and clear, it ticks me off.

So what I plan to do is start a list of unreliable ranked servers. I hope you forumgoers out there will contribute to this list and make it a valuble source of intel.

What I would consider an "unreliable server" would be one that still hasn't updated your stats for over an hour after you've left the server. It seems to me that after that golden hour has passed, the chances of your efforts being recorded diminish rapidly. About 95% of the time, on what I consider a reliable ranked server, I see updates within 15 minutes. I'll start the formatting like this:

it will add up it sometimes takes ages because it might be a "busy " time for the rank server. ive had my points add up 4 days after earning them

So far Ive never lost any stats or awards...had to wait several hours on occasions but everything was accounted for...

when you play make sure you stay till the beginning of the next round...if you disconnect during the game - no stats will be recorded (I think)

Sl4y3r, don't you mean "it might add up"? I don't consider a server that takes ages to update a "reliable" server (maybe you missed the whole point?). Yeah, a couple times I've had my stats update several days after earning them too, it sure as hell doesn't mean I'm going to trust that server from now on. I don't care if a server takes a day, 4 days, or a month to update the stats, after an hour goes by and there's no update, it all means the same thing (the reliability and credibility of that server is questionable). Thats the whole point of this thread...

For whatever reason a server would delay an update, its not a good sign of that server. Maybe the server load is too high? Maybe there's not enough bandwidth for the server to both serve and update simultaneously? For whatever reason, it shows that the server is at its own performance limits, and that is precisely when things get unreliable.

Some "Ranked" servers will never update your stats. EVER.

A list of Ranked servers that don't actually track your stats would be great.

I think I'm going to start keeping track of what servers I play on and if they actually track stats... I've been very unlucky playing on MANY ranked servers that don't record **** all.

dude, the delays of hours are very common, regardless of server played on. IIRC, it's all usually in order the next morning.

you need to go take a dump, have sex, and take a nap.

This one normally works, there just happens to be a HUGE lag in updating from yesterday and last night from what I understand. The Zboard Karkand servers are among my favorite. This is a bad time to compile a list because everyone is going to think the servers they played on last night don't update. Give it time, if you don't see an update in 3 days I think you can assume the server doesn't send the rank info in.

don't mean to hijack the thread, but as a side topic...what's the longest it has taken (from your experience) for stats to update? i've already heard 4 days in this thread...have there been longer?

Im getting the same probleme , my states are not updating neather dosemy awards. Since 2 days i have bean waiting for my states and awards to show but nothing. almost every server that is 24/7 usaly dosent save . The only 1z u can really trust or the bf2 official servers but thos are boring/laggy/and suck . So i come down to this conclusion : If the sever is rated (ranked) dose not track/save ur states points , it should be viewd as (not ranked) instead of confusig the users and wasting there times.Or eater way shut down or/and restarted.

I hate to say it, the CLONE clan server really lagged badl everyone had 400+ pings

The only one that I am 100% sure I lost stats from was a Comcast Ranked Server. I got the Aerial Service Ribbon, but it never came.

My brother got the Explosive Ordnance badge on an EA Official server but it never showed up. I can't remember which one it was though.

yea, i lost some stats from a Comcast ranked server as well.

lost a huuuge chunk of stats from LANCAMP.com server last night. the damn thing crashed and apparently everything was erased.

I believe there a way too many variables involved to start saying it’s the game servers fault. ie the game server goes to parse the stats but can’t log on, do to gamespy’s stats server being overloaded….blah..blah..blah…..

You can put the servers that you have had trouble with here, but every one needs to take this with a grain of salt.

Sorry if some people have lost there stats, but it has happened to most of us, so hopefully it all works out in the wash.
