Toggle To Leave Squad.

I apologize in advance if this topic exists, I attempted to manually and automatically search but to no avail. I also apologize if this is the wrong forum.

I also thank in advance to anyone who can grant me knowledge to solve my problem.

Problem: Anyway, I find myself spawning on my Squad leader a lot, then leaving squad and making a new one immediately, in order to provide my team with a new spawn position in case my previous leader dies. This can be extremely cumbersome using the in-game menus to leave squad, although you can create a squad using the Insert key.

Question: Is there any way to bind a key to leave a squad? Or perhaps a key to both leave and create a squad? This would make things much easier for me and my m8s.

I'm not too big on BF2 binds, but if you find out what commandline is sent to the game when you press Leave Squad, then you should be able to bind it to whichever key you want.

For example, type in console

"bind p leavesquad; createsquad" without quotes. but for this to work, you'd need to know the command for Leave and Create squads

Hmm, thanks. That'll help once I, like you say, find the correct commands to use. I didn't know I could bind keys like that, thanks.

I've been looking for a comprehensive list of commands but have not found anything...
