    "End of Round Screen" Problems

    hey all!

::hmph:: i'm having a really annoying problem. the game runs perfectly fine except for right after a round ends. instead of being able to check out the end of round stats (best squad, etc.) the game loses its connection and i am brought back to the account login screen.

i know that the problem is a hardware " sonicwall" firewall that is installed on my network. all of the required ports are open, however i still have the same problem. unfortunatly i cannot disable the firewall or take it off of the network because my dad needs it for work. i will occasionaly get lucky and not have the connection drop but 99% of the time i get kicked from teh server when the round ends. when i bring my pc to a friends house w/o a firewall it works great.

i was hoping someone would have an idea of what to do. thanks for any help!

the error msg is "There was an error reading from the server." and it puts you back into the EA logon screen

                    Right. This is someone's post:

'this is probably an issue with the network inactivity timeout settings on the outbound access rules (or possibly, the timeouts on the inbound rules if they are needed for the game to work).

The default of 5 minutes can safely be edited to 30 minutes, but it may be better to write a rule for the game and change the timeout only on that rule.

You may want to give us more details (Firmware version and type) and also look in the SNWL log at the time of the game disconnect to see if there are any hints in there.'

Time to cowboy up, boys. Lets go collect the data this guy needs and see if we can't fix our game.

Guys, I have somthing you should try. Make sure that these ports are open:

                      TCP:
                      6667 (IRC)
                      3783 (Voice Chat Port)
                      27900 (Master Server UDP Heartbeat)
                      28900 (Master Server List Request)
                      29900 (GP Connection Manager)
                      29901 (GP Search Manager)
                      13139 (Custom UDP Pings)
                      6515 (Dplay UDP)
                      6500 (Query Port)

Try that, and let me know if it solves the problem.

                          It works? BRILLIANT!

We should see if we can get that stickied. It would save people like us from nearly taking the BF2 disks and heading over to EA with a less-then-nice intention.

EDIT: It doesn't work for me. I have a different version.
