put it in the [img ] [/img ] tags

the [img] tags in bbcode on a phpbb forum can't handle the lack of a file extension. I've tried changing the includes/bbcode.php file around, but nothing successful yet.

I'm currently working on running some kind of scheduled task using wget and FTP that will pull down the image, save it, and upload to my server. Ugh. lol.
