I read the thread. As far as I can work out it consists of you bragging about your frame rates, in a round about way. This causes others to stroke your e-penis, for which you thank them. What have I missed?

EVERYTHING.. It was certainly not my intent to 'brag about it in a round about way'...

There were other haters, and I wanted to see if others were getting these frame rates so I could prove it to them.. Was that so hard really?

In all seriousness though, why do you care so much about whether people believe you or not? I mean, if they choose not to believe you, good for them. You're still the guy with a frame rate so high that they don't believe you. :)

I haven't actually checked my framerates, but they're faster than 70fps a lot of the time I think, as I get a lot tearing on my Samsung LCD. This is where having a fast frame rate isn't so great, it begins to detract from the quality of the visuals.

At present, I run medium everything, except effects, which are High. I will start fiddling with settings soon to see what I can up without losing too many frames, but to me the game looks great even with everything on medium. I don't ever bother with things like AA, because I figure when things are moving and fast-paced, you're hardly going to notice some jaggies.

I run 1280x960 I think, and my pc spec is Athlon 64 3200+, 1GB Kingmax RAM in dual channel config (soon to be 2GB), Radeon 9800XT.
