Why don't you just use the single player unlock cheat and unlock all the weapons and choose for yourself?

Anyone know if the PKM is more accurate while lying down then the other heavy weapons?

The PKM is the most accurate support weapon, I feel, then the RPK-74 and the others suck.

Im trying to figure out what to unlock too. Its between the G3 and the PKM at the moment. Its hard to choose as both classes will be allmost exactly the same, apart from one will have ammo bags and one will have smoke, those dont matter much so its basically down to the gun and i just cant choose.

i got the PKM about a week ago and it is the best unlock. so much better than the other support guns. it is the most accuarte and powerful of the support guns. u probably wont regret getting it. i dont even have an idea of the next gun i unlock cuase the PK owns so much.

wranger i already said... the 1.02 patch fixed that cheat, you cant edit it anymore.

Depend on how you play. Gonna try and help ya on this.

DAO-12 - If your a CQC guy, this is your weapon. Its very good when close range, but when far away consider yourself dead. Always use the pistol at long ranges. It takes a while to reload, but the power and fast firing rate makes this up. Just remember, when your reloading, take cover. If your a camping guy, this wont be a good choice. The bullet spread is pretty far, so you gotta be right up at the guy to kill him.

PKM - This thing is fuggin godly. It rocks in medium ranges. Its basically the G3 just with alot more bullets. 2-3 shots, dead. Get a good camping spot with a squad, and yall can just hellarape. Give them ammo, go back to shooting, give them ammo, etc. Basically, you'll be getting more points with the PKM and support kit. I now get the same k/d ratios mostly as when I was playing the assault, but now I get alot more team points and such. This is good for CQC too. Just remember, always use either prone or crouch. You wont hit jack-crap standing. When you meet someone, always dive. If you want both CQC, good range, very powerful damage, then you'll want this.

Edit - Also, for PKM. Use bursts, dont go full auto. I usually use 3-4 shots, stop, 2-3 shots, over and over.

thanks for all that info but some of it i know ;-) i have 16,000 points, you would have to consider ive picked up these guns before and with all support guns.. i realize not to spray(i hope no one does that out there! :x) but no one has really ever compared it to the G3. my original choices were the PKM or the DAO-12, but now after i hear that update in the new patch about the Spec-Ops points, i must reconsider.

Actually when it comes to accuracy over time, then the SAW is the better support rifle with it's high rof...

Depends what you like. Higher RoF @ lower DMG per bullet. Or slower RoF @ higher DMG per bullet. Accuracy over time means nothing for a LGM. If you fire full auto, you'll probably hit very little.

Don't pick what's best, pick what you like more. I made the mistake of going for the best unlock, and unlocked the L85. I really don't like it, I wish I got the G3.

i got the PKM on my first unlock, and haven't used it much cause it's nearly impossible to hit someone from a distance, sure it inflicts great damage but what's the use if the bullets hit a wall 2m or more from the target?

PKM is a waste IMO. Someone gave me the heads up on this server on a different thread about this same topic..

connect to mlkclan.com , they have all the weapons unlocked on the server, test them out... I spent a few hours there testing PKM, M95 and all that. From my time there I concluded the PKM is a piece of crap and so is that damn medic gun, the DAO is fun as hell though, if I was on my third unlock, I would have the G3, the G36C and the DAO unlocked.
