    Purchased New Monitor(s) BF2 Won't Run

Hi fellow gamers. I ordered 2 new 19 in Hyundai L90D+'s. I realize BF2 doesn't support dual monitors. Here's the kicker:

After the initial BF2 splash screen I'm thrown back to the desktop. Any ideas besides EA's on this problem? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

unfortunately REinstall is your best solution.

Did you try reinstalling and updating drivers? Graphics, sound, and motherboard are most important. Also I see you're using an Audigy2. Click the link in my sig to get your Audigy2 to work to its full potential in this game.

Also, I recommend the 5.7 Cats with ATI Control panel direct from ATI. IF these do not work for whatever reason, people rave about the Omega drivers (personally I'm indifferent towards them).

The main problem is, is that there are all these settings in your game file that makes it run properly on the monitor you installed it with. Since you got a new monitor the game flips out and doesnt know what to do. If this was a decently programmed game, it should know that you changed hardware and change those settings for you. I tried changing the settings myself before trying to reinstall but only got 1 step closer until it CTD. So just Reinstall it.

GameWizards' suggestion did the trick. I went in to the Battlefield2/profiles directory and cut and pasted my profile to the desktop. Success!! Battlefield 2 now works as it should...A big thanks to GameWizard....:)

You can just delete the profiles settings from the bf2 folder in my documents. I did this when i moved from my gfs dads tft to her crt.
