microphone on bf2?

can u use the microphone on bf 2 to talk online instead of using chat. the idea came during installation of the game when i had to set my micraphone to a certain frequency

Once you join a squad, you can press and hold the "b" key to talk to your squad members only. If you are squad leader/commander, you press and hold the "v" key to talk to the commander/squad leaders.
