    Still cant get 1280x1024

sorry if i missed ths answer somewhere here on the forum, but I can seem to even force bf2 into 1280x1024.

Here's what my command line says

    "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" -szx 1280 -szy 1024

    any solutions???

    Thanks

It should be 1280x1024, although in-game it will not show this. Technically 1280x1024 is an unsupported resolution in this game, hopefully the v1.03 patch will add support for this, as there are so many people with LCDs now, and most LCDs this is the native resolution.

        It should say: "C:\Programme\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

          Here's mine.

          "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

Note the + & not the -. Dont know if that makes a difference, but mine works

make sure it looks exactly like this:
                "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024
Also, make sure you are opening the game by clicking the shortcut, not by using the disk menu.

how are you supposed to know that it went into 1280 1024 and not just starting the game normally?

a lot of 17" monitors dont support 1280x1024... thats why you cant use it.....

except that my monitor does support it. Its the Sony SDM-HS75. The only monitor out there that I saw that seemed better was the NEC 1780. Its a high end LCD so it should work fine.

I'll bet your refresh rate is too high on that resolution.

Here's what your monitor can do:

                          48 - 75 Hz (Analog); 60 Hz (Digital)
                          Resolution 1280 x 1024
I would check your settings for refresh rates and adjust 1280x1024 to 60Hz and try that.
