    Which Vid Card

    ok out of these video cards what should i get i have 250-350 bucks roughly to spend
    NVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra
    NVidia GeForce 6800 GT
    NVidia GeForce 6800
    NVidia GeForce FX 5950 Series
    NVidia GeForce FX 5900 Series
    NVidia GeForce FX 5700 Series

    also might have 1 gig of ram right now only 512mb if that matters

      lol no brainer ..... x800xl lol ..... oc it and it will pass the 6800 ultra ...it has 16 pipes too

      or x850 pro...no dissapointments...and it matches the the 6800 ultra, the only difference is the shader model... herers a link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102506

        He said OUT OF THESE CARDS. Guess that means no ATi. But x850XT PE is the best card out other than 7800.

              I recomend the 1GB of RAM you plan on getting (or another 512 to make the total 1GB rather). That will set you back a maximum of $60.

              That being said, get the 6800GT. Why? Simple. First off its well within your budget, even when you factor in the memory, you're looking at spending around $325. At that, you can easily overclock the 6800GT to or above ultra speeds. Don't worry most manufactures include overclocking software, if not then grab some off the internet. I think Omega drivers actually come with overclocking software. (atleast for ATI drivers it does).

              I am assuming you need AGP. The XFX 6800GT is $284 @ Newegg.com right now.

                  GT would be the best choice, then simply OC it past Ultra speeds, save yourself the extra 200 bucks and go out for lunch.
