I unlocked the medic unlock I think it is a downgrade. I prefer iron scopes but i also think its stronger in the burst than for the medic unlock, i think it is weak and i dont like the mountain crosshairs. i feel its a down grade and rather have the support pkm its stronger is it not ? If you disagree tell me your strategys please people.

i personaly like burst, and like the regular medic weapons- which i why i picked the g36c- and m95.

I have both the L8 and the PKM. The L8 I don't actually see as a downgrade, just used for different situations - You can pull off some great long distance shots with it, but close up, I'd prefer an AK or M16. G36C probably would have been a better choice

And about the PKM, I unlocked that yesterday, and I am started to get a little disappointed/worried because the accuracy seems to be much worse than the M249 although it only takes 3 shots to take someone down. Maybe I just need to get used to it, but I never had a problem taking someone out with the M249 that was a good far distance away - I do with the PKM (I know they aren't meant for long range anyway though)

The L85 is slightly less accurate than the M16 but zooms in further.
The L85 has more recoil and automatic fire spreads wide faster than the other rifles.
The M16 does 30 points of damage, the L85 hits for 32 points, and the AKs do 38.

The L85 is more of a middle-ground gun for the medic, damage and accuracy between the AK101 and M16, it has the benefit of having a better zoom factor, though its extra recoil makes automatic fire spread quickly, so in close quarters, it will not be as effective as the other guns, though very good at long range.

If anything, get used to drawing your pistol at close quarters if you're carrying a L85A1..

This weapon is crap IMHO.

I just dont get it....I can have my crosshair bang on and be firing in single shot, fire 4-5 times and it does not register one hit. I thought it may just need a bit of time to get used too after using the M-16 but no.....I still cant use it well.

M-16 is perfect for me!

I found myself getting a much better k/d ratio using the L85A1. I dunno maybe I'm just good at what I do. You have to be very patient with this gun. If it doesn't hit dead on (single shot) move it over a bit. Try different thing's. It does work when properly used.

Auto is is another story. The gun recoils like a jack-hammer (the tool not the gun). Useless in most cases.

The L85 has to be used in single shot mode in order to be effective. If you leave it in auto fire mode, you will waste way more bullets trying to kill off the same enemy player versus if you had just shot him 4 or 5 times with single fire mode.

Learn to master single fire mode and you will be quite deadly with the L85.

I totally agree. I unlocked it with the single player cheat, and I find it the absolute worst supposed upgraded weapon.

OK, first of all you should realize that when you make a post like this, the only people who will respond are those who feel the same way you too, thus defeating the whole purpose of asking for advice :shakehead:

secondly, there are about a million posts about "this gun is the better upgrade" or "i perfer the so-and-so over this"...so no matter what point of view you are looking to validate...you can find a post somewhere that will make you think youre right

I think g3 is a great gun but it takes away the nade launcher so I would choose the regular assault kit over the g3 kit anyday

I love my medic unlock, It just takes practice.....like everything else

dude the L85A1 is better than most of teh sniper rifles. you just have to know how to shoot it. i am picking people off with that thing like no tommorrow. great weapon in my mind. i have teh PKM and theL85A1
