What kind of video card are you using, and what is it set at? I personally get a "blur" effect instead on my BFG 6600GT OC.

I am running all low except textures on high. For some reason whenever i put up geometry/terrain ect on high it just lags and nothing looks better.

I didn't download the new drivers because it's not sure it runs with my pc? or somthing about Logo. Xp?

Could this be because i havn't downloaded the new drivers?/shaders.

heres another pic. I don't know how my guns and arms can look so good, but the sorroundings so bad?

That logo thing that you are referring to, I believe that is the windows driver signing. It's nothing to worry about. Just goto www.ati.com or www.nvidia.com (depending on which card you have) and get the latest drivers. Next time it asks you about driver signing, or windows logo test, just just click yes, and procede with the driver installation.

You might want to put your textures on low or medium, in the meanwhile.

Ok thanks. I didn't whant to screw anything up.

Also, problem fixed. Somehow. I guess it was just a one game time thing.

I agree with TP, download the latest drivers. Just make sure you completely uninstall your old drivers before installing the new ones.

Just curious - what kind of video card are you running?

I have no idea, tell me the code to put in start/run and i will tell it to you though.

But yea, the new drivers worked. I can now play with all medium and no clay looking buildings ; ) thanks for the help.

This isn't my computer, it's my dad's. My computer is downstairs but this game won't work on it. So i am using his till i can upgrade my own.

You can find out which video card you are running by right-clicking your desktop, select properties, then select the settings tab. In the middle of the window, you should see where it says "Display:". There it should list your monitor as well as the graphics card you are using.

Oh hey thanks. It is a Nvidia Geforce FX5200.

Also, i have tried making an acount on the demo today ( i don't have the full retail version untill Saturday ) and it just stays as '' creating account '' forever.

It takes a little time some times (to get your feet back on the ground) ....err I mean for the account server to respond. GameSpy is a really crappy service, but EA insists on using it. So until they ditch it for a better service, we are stuck with crappy in-game broswing and slow logins.

Really? I would contact GameSpy then about the issue. Something with their servers must not like you. Also double check to make sure your firewall allows BF2 to play through (as most will detect any change in versions as well). Also make sure Windows Firewall is turned off (it has a tendecy to turn itself on when you mess with network configs). Same with a router if you have one.
