    Bombadier postion in bomber

I sat in this position for the first time today. I had avoided it before because I thought it would be the same as for the chopper (which wouldn't really work). It's actually quite fun!

What I want to do is make a plea to the pilots of bombers: Please, if you notice that you have a co-pilot in the bombadier seat, try to fly in such a way as they can get locks on enemy ground targets. I think the bomber would be so much more effective if more pilots flew like this, and think of all the kill assist points you will get!

Yeah same with some of the attack helicopter pilots. They can rake up points with kill assists but most pilots only care about getting there own kills.

ya i usually ask the pilot to fly like he is doing bombing runs on targets...thats a good way to get a lock everytime. its also fun to take out blackhawks with them....but its perty hard.

I am a pilot, and the best thing to do for the laser missile guy is fly to about 5oo alt. Turn on your bombing hud, only enemys will show up. When you see armor dive towards it but keep the crosshair slightly above the the target. Try to make a gentle swoop to towards the target. You can cut the thrust back to give the co pilot time to lock and coast through the swoop.

Co pilot use your radar to see if any friendly armor is in the area you are going to fly. If there is nothing friendly you know any circles that apear on you laser finder are enemies. Some people wait for a lock but what will help is if you fire the missile right away then keep you cross hair on the tank you can still get a lock but missile is already on its way in the general direction. Once locked it will self guide.

Pilot save your bombs for multiple targets in one area, let the copilot take out single targets. I find that the pilot gets a whole lot less teamkills if the copilot fires at targets. Beware of people trying to c4 armor. Becuase you will fire a missile and it will kill the armor and the friendly trying to c4 and you know the @$$hole will punish you becuase you wasted a peice of armor that would most likely have killed 10 team mates. But hey he is a @$$hole peice of $hit loser who has to punish you for doing your duty.

It took me a while before i understood that you still need to guide the missles to the target even though they locked.
Eversince i love the warm and comfortible second seat of the f15.

It thing gunner in heli is also good, when your pilot is likeminded.
I just hate the canon on it (weak and inacurate) , TV guided missles make up for the cannon completely, 1 hit kill on a tank, wow

Is there a way to see how much ammo or bombs your gunner has? If not it is needed badly. I have done bomb runs for the gunner and he doesnt shoot and I wonder if he is just out of bombs or not.

Also, sometimes in the chopper I will stay back from a flag and fly stationary and level for the gunner to shoot some missles but they just yell at me to GO! GO! GO! If you dont know how to use the weapons properly then dont get in the chopper its that simple.

Couldn't agree more. Same goes for actually flying the chopper.

If it was DC most likely you didn't pwn in the chopper as 80% of the jet fighters had fog hacks on and could see you in the air from anywhere on the map and instant death would happen in about 10 seconds. Also the tanks could pick choppers out of the air with one shot, oh did I mention the one shot stingers too? And I forgot the anti air stations.

But maybe it was a noob DC server so it could have happend, I guess.
