L85A1 fav weapon top players

I was checking out BF2S just now, and i thought it would be funny to look up the stats of the top ten players, see if they got medals yet and such.
Then i noticed that the weapon every one of them has is the L85A1.
So to all the people asking ever half week , wich weapon to unlock.
The Top cats seem to stick with the L85A1-masterblaster (when it comes to unlocking), just wanted to let you peeps know.

The L85 is an Enigma to me. Sometimes i can wail on people with burst fire/sei-auto and get lots of kills. Other times you can't hit anything within a 10 foot circle of your target.

ya its crap to me.....and the top guys just whore vehicles....some of them cant fight a fair infantry vs. infantry fight if their life depended on it (literally).

Unless you can directly put the gun at someone's chest don't bother with the full auto mode. But I can work wonders with this gun when using single fire mode at 15 to 150m.

Yeah L85A1 just from reading forums is probly one of the most unlocked first gun. Another gun is M95 and unless you going to use it alot don't even touch it.

There top guys becuase they and 3 buddies 2v2 sit in one area and kill each other while reviving teamates accumulating massive points to be the best. They are the best, only at exploiting games. It goes like this 2 enemy one is medic and one is support. 2 friendlies likewise. One of the baddies kills a friendly, friendly medic revives the friendly down. Now friendly medic shoots one baddie. Baddy medic revives baddy down and shoots friendly. Its a cycle that gives you a revive and kill in mere seconds

My logic tells me something else. It tells me the top scorers are medic pointwhores, and being medic pointwhores, they obviously chose the only unlock available for the class.

Or it could be since the exploiters had thier stats wiped, the top players using the medic class are team players??? Awfully big assumption your making.

I know its very tempting to think this but its not true; I've played with one of the top 10s and in addition to knowing how to mildly exploit a map, he(?)s a very tricky son of a bish to kill. I'll back this up with examples:

Gulf of Oman - No matter what side hes on he flys or steals the SU34 and positively decimates the opposing team - I call this mildly exploiting since we all know how hard it is to down the aircraft, but its a legitimate tactic. One round I checked he ended with 57:2 ratio

Fushe Pass - He was tooling around in the APC as a medic destroying everybody he came across. I'm a good AT player so I decide to put an end to this by ambushing him from a nice pile of rocks. I hit him once he starts backing up a bit out of range. Comes forward again and I hit him again - should be dead but no he rolls back again. I pop out on the other side of the rocks and see another player, an engineer, is kneeling behind the apc fixing it. Great, I grease his ass with my pathetic chinese gun and pull behind the rocks to avoid the return fire from the APC and switch to AT. When I pop out to kill the apc, I see mr top 10 has jumped out and Revived the engineer (hes a medic remember), I switch to smg (my mistake) he jumps down on the ground and blasts me with one burst from an L85.

Its worth noting as well that being in the Top 10 is mostly about an investment in time and not necessarily an overall measure of skill - I'm sure there are lots of highly skilled lance corporals out there.
