Please help! Not new to playing but issues with account login!

OK guys in advance I sincerely apologize for posting a thread which has most likely been repeatedly posted...however, I did search through many of the pages of this forum and still haven't been able to figure my problem out. I already have an account, which works fine. I wanted to join a clan and so started a NEW account to add and signed up on gamespy, and also even verified my e-mail, etc...when I go to retrieve the account with my e-mail and password, it says that either my email or password is invalid. I attempted to sign in multiple times and made sure I had the correct info by going back to gamespy. So now im stuck with this account and the name I want, but I cant retrieve the damn account on BF2! I HATE THIS LOGIN PROCESS. Again, I apologize if this has already been done to death....but nothing freezes up etc. like many other people....it just gives me that error that my email or password is incorrect, which I KNOW it is not! Help!

Did you create the account in-game? Or on GameSpyID.com? If the later of the two, it maybe the cause. Create it in-game. Although phony e-mail address do work, you won't receive any e-mails (such as if your stats have been reset) so that is something you have to weigh.

Interesting....I did create it at gamespyid.com...so ill try that in-game and see what happens. This whole system is ridiculous!

Yes it is a bit odd, I wish they would have given more thought to the login process, but hey, you live you learn right? This is the first game of this type for EA, so I can forgive them somewhat. They are also supposed to fix alot of the issues with v1.03.

Very true, thanks for the help I'll try it when I get home from work and delete this post if problem is fixed. It makes sense that it will, I remember reading in some other forums that the game is not linked to the gamespy account or whatever so that's why you have to do it from the game itself....much appreciate.
