BF2 online : downloading ?

Maybe this thread is off-topic but anyway I just wanted to know if when I play BF online it is downloading something because now my internet provider : Symptico Bell tell me that I have to pay an additional 20$ for exceeding the download limit of 2G ....

I was like what the hell because the month just begun and it seems to be impossible to have download or uploaded more than 2G in 2 days. The ONLY things I do on the internet is BF2, Forum/Mail and MSN Messenger... So I dont see how I could have down/uploaded more than 2 G..

Get high speed. There is no bandwidth cap.

yes battlefield 2 does use download as well as upload. i think its about 8-10kb per second and about the same in upload. so yes it can chunk into a 2gb limit pretty quick.

yep you must have sympatico lite. Upgrade, and download away. Besides your speed will be much faster...Lite is like 2 or 3 times the speed of dial.

Regular HS is 3 megs down and 800K up.

BF2 has trafic down and up^, it's a bit more then other online games, its about a 15Kb/s download and about 8-9 Kb/s upload.

on two days you won't get 2gig, but ever thougt on the fact you probably have a virus?

This would be the cause if you didn't do anything else, but if you where surfing, sending and recieving some mails the past few weeks, then play two days BF2 for some time, wel 2 gig is gone fast

Yeah, you should really change your ISP. Having a bandwidth cap is ridiculous.

Ok you say that online game have upload and trafic, but before BF2 I played much BF1942 and send mail every day and didnt exceeded the limit. It's only since Gulf Of Oman demo was out that I began to exceed the 2G

So why the problem is only with BF2 ?

PS: yea, i'll change to High speed in 2 weeks cause now I have enough of my average download speed of 15KB/S
