Retrieving Account Password Errors?? :(

a friend of mine ....

Acc Name : TheSnakeBite
Email : joel_redhead@hotmail.com

.... is having 2 problems.

1) He reinstalled his PC software and has lost his password. I have tried to help him by logging into BF2 game and retrieving password for him .... it takes me to a gamespy web page and I stick in his email address ..... it sends him a password that does not work with the name TheSnakeBite.

How can we retrieve the correct password for BF2 name TheSnakeBite please? I have tried sending password from the gamespyarcade web site as well and it just sends the password that does not work

2) This may be linked to the above ..... because he could not use TheSnakeBite he has created a new name temporarily and it claimed last night when he tried to play that the CD Key was already in use. Is this because it is registered to TheSnakeBite account or has someone managed to 'steal' his code?

When he gets the password, he should goto: www.gamespyid.com and login. Change his password from there and save the changes. Then try his new password in-game. You may have to hit "Retreive Account" rather then "login".

That does not seem to have worked Thanks anyway though, it was worth a try. It just seems that the gamespyid is in no way linked to the BF2 in game user .... yet thats where the game takes you when you try to retieve password
