Squad Awards

I don't know if this is going to be in the new patch anyway but i think it would be a great idea.

When i play with my mate we make a squad and generally speaking if the commanders good we will do what he wants us to do even when thats destroying artillery which currently you don't get points for (although yes i know thats changing anyway) but often we get praise from the commander and get 'your the best squad i've ever seen' comments over the radio etc which is nice to be acknowledged, i guess its because a lot of people go as lone wolfs or are in a sqaud but generally do there own thing.

So each match i think it would be a good idea if the commander gets to choose a 'squad of the match' and give them some sort of award bonus. It would be great to get a reward for working as a team and following orders and at the same time it would encourage others to do the same and would help make BF2 even more enjoyable.

I like that idea but I think that this feature cuold be easily exploited if you had some friends that would do so.. One be the comm, then he just gives praise to his friends and thats that. easily exploitable but if EA/DICE can properly integrate this feature into the game with something that would prevent exploitation (which i really doubt will happen) then more power to it.

Yeah i can see how it could be exploited good point, but i'm sure there'd be a way of working around that.

Perhaps have a system whereby the squads activites are monitored as in the server nominates the squads the commander can vote for based on how often they went to areas specififed by the commander and how long they stayed there.

Or i guess you could have it so the commander doesn't vote, instead the squads are automatically rewarded by the server based on what i said above.

I think its a good idea though becuase it will encourage people to play as a team and more of a coordinated army.

Of course this would largly depend on how good the commander was, but i think commanders would be a lot better if they knew that squads were probably going to do as they were told.
