Very big problem help ASAP~~~

Ok guys so i inserted my BF2 disk into my dvd drive and the autorun thing came up and clicked english then i clicked install and then after that nothing happens... i tryed it again and still nothing happend .. whats going on .. heres my pc specs

AMD athlon 3800+ (newcastle)
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
MSI Radeon X800XL
Rosewill 2 GIG dual channel memory
X-blade mid tower case with 550 psu
LITE-ON dvd-cd burner dual layer
thermaltake heatsink and fan
Western digital 120gb hd


I built this pc just for BF2.... and its not working what is the problem .. i dont have any problems with any other games i have (Black hawk down, Joint operations, Delta force: Xtreme, Americas army, Call of duty, counter strike source , Unreal tournment 2004, Battlefield 1942 and like 20 others....and yes i still have plenty of space on my hd ..

I don't think it is your drivers. Search the forum for how to uninstall "InstallSheild". There has been issues with this as well. Once you uninstall it, it will re-install when you pop the BF2 disc back in, and hopefully that will solve your problem.

You can also delete the InstallShield folder for BF2, press WINKEY+R, type %PROGRAMFILES%\InstallShield Installation Information\{04858915-9F49-4B2A-AED4-DC49A7DE6A7B} and it will take you to the folder.

but I CANT find that folder at all.... PLEASE what is going on here i click install it doesnt run then you tell me to delete that bf2 folder BUT ITS NOT THERE

No no, re-read that. The installer folder is a hidden system folder. You need to follow those directions exactly (just copy and paste the path). It will bring up an Installer Information folder, you need to delete everything in that folder, and re-try the install.

ok ok ok ok ok ok ok. i had this problem wit NBA Live 2005. i put it in and it didnt go. wht u need to do is exchange the product. i have called ea and they tell me some r just blank cds. i exchanged my game and it works fine. try tht.

If the installer didn't work, that was my next thing. Just like with home burnings some burnings can contain errors (after all they produce millions of copies, so its bound to happen). It may just so happen that this is the case with you. Just tell them you want to exchange the game as the installer is not working correctly.

Also, I would assume you double checked that you're not trying to use a DVD version in a CD-ROM drive. You need a DVD-CD-ROM combo to use the DVD version.

Just for shits and giggles try it on another computer once. See if your CD/DVD drive isn't mis-reading the disc.

and how do i contact ea? what is there phone number ?but are you sure my cd is a blank it doesnt seem its not but maybe they burned it wrong ...but when i clicked explore cd there were files there like Autorun and setup and when i clicked setup i get this tmp error
