Hi, i am going to upgrade to 512 megabites of ram. Since its a minimum req. Will the game still play good? I upgraded to a 6600 graphics card also.

yea its minimum- your still gonna take a long time to load- i would recommend 1gig-2gigs. -

How about 4 gigs? I have 2 now and played with the idea of filling up all my slots for 4 Gig's. Any advantage in that?Comment

I've got 2 Gigs and everything runs great now. I had 512 and i had loader loadings, much more ingame lag and at the start of a game it took like 10-20 where i couldnt move at all. I put 2 gig in and it loads a little quicker, only a little, but the game starts straight away with no 10-15 seconds lag at the start of a match and theres hardly any lag in game, ive got mostly med settings. I really dont see any need for 4 Gig, if everythings running smoothly why waste the money.Comment

Yes it will. when you launch the game, all those pretty textures (or other misc. info) get loaded into memory (RAM) and if you do not have enough memory (RAM), some of them end up in virtual memory on your hard drive. If your video card requests one of those textures, the hard drive will have to serve it up, quite slowly compared to RAM. Meanwhile, your video card will start to lag behind while waiting for its requested info to arrive from your slow ass hard drive. If you have 2 gigs of ram, you can listen to mp3s while playing BF2 and still have plenty of RAM left over. its all very technical.Comment
