naw i've made plenty of bf2 movies and other game movies, i'm not really into crazy exciting war videos but thats cool. and i think theres more of a plot in this than any all out war videos.

Damn, I'm with you on this one. After hearing what the concept was I can sort of get it, but while watching it I was thinking - wft is going on, it's backwards... and where's the great shots of nasty kills and cunning tactics. Basically it's lot of running around, healing, a couple of shots fired. Not really riveting stuff.

But hey, I've never done anything like this before so I don't know how hard it is to do and judging by the quality of the file we should expect great things to come from you as long as you pick up the action a bit.

I like that slow motion you use, if you film some intense action and cut to some slow motion frags it will intensify the whole feel for combat. I don't mean to come across as a harsh critic, you've got the skills, just need the content.

Man, that was f*cking awesome--really deep, just reminds you of the ugly business war is--the casual brutality and the meaningless of it all. (It was also really reminiscent of the Coldplay music "The Scientist"--one of the best music videos of all time) And ending the video with the medic defibrillating the camera--pure genius. If you are the same guy who edited the "Sugar We're Going Down" stunt, you are the greatest.

See, when you think "What's the point" when you're watching this (seemingly) meaningless movie, you've gotta also be thinking, "what's the whole point of war (to the common soldier dying on the battlefield)?"

An idea for a "what's the point of war" movie would be to follow a soldier in a group, have his team mates die off one at a time getting to an objective. It comes to a point when he is the only one left then dies before reaching the objective which is only yards away. His body left on the street. The camera pans back, spinning from an aerial shot showing the enemy forces walk over him towards the main attacking force further away out of view.

              Another casualty of war...

Everyone's a critic. Personnaly I think this is one of his most creative movies. I think if he added "great shots of nasty kills and cunning tactics" it would have strayed from the story he was actually trying to tell.
                        Nicely done Landis

Why bash the critics, he posted the vid for people to watch and comment, good or bad. Personally I like it, thought it was very good and stands out for being different to the normal type of vids we see

Don't get me wrong, i'm not bashing the critics, i'm just saying that sometimes you have have to open the blinds to get a better view of what's outside the window. There is more out there than just a narrow perspective....

obviously there is more than just a narrow perspective on things, exactly my point, he showed one perspective, I offered another...
