I have a .txt file that I store all of my CD-keys in. If you have some sort of proof of purchase you might be able to contact EA.

            Start > run - Regedit
            HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\ergc\(Default)

There is your cd key if its still installed.

Whats you IP Address.... No seriously you shouldn't keep that stuff on your pc.

I've been writting my CD keys on my CD for a number of years.
I can't figuire out why they don't do that or leave a blank space for that.

It IS on your PC, in your registry... :\

Obviously if someone writes a key stealer and you are dumb enough to download it (really great aimbot!!1!), that is where it will look...

                              Re: lost cd key

OK- I have the same problem as GSX but I think my situation is worse, hehe. I've already installed the 1.03 patch!! Now the CD key is encrypted somewhere on my machine. The partition that I had my game on is in bad shape and I wanted to do a fresh reinstall of xp and BF2 but, you guessed it, I lost my CD key. The existing install is still functioning but I understand the new patch encrypted it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

                              Thx in advance.
