              Maybe the frustration comes from not being able to play....at all. It's like buying a movie ticket sitting down with all your goodies ready to watch....and just a blank screen.

              what happen to downloading a stand alone single player game in your pc. and having the ability to play while servers are down?

                  Actually, you can play single player game with out logging in. Just create a singleplayer account and get after it.

                      It's not really EA's fault. Gamespy hosts the login, and people keep "Distributed Denial of Service" attacking their servers. Hate the script kiddies, not the game.
